Exit & Emergency Lights
An owner of a business or a person occupying a building in Queensland has a legal obligation to ensure the safety of any person in that building in the event of a fire or material emergency.
The emergency lighting industry is governed by AS2293 Emergency escape lighting and exit signs for buildings and it specifies the minimum requirements. Non-compliance not only put people at risk, it also exposes building owners, managers and employers to significant penalties.
Exit and emergency lighting must be tested, inspected and maintained according to the relevant procedures as defined in the Standard.
While we cannot advise on what is required in terms of emergency and exit lighting design, E.J Electrical and Communications can install and test according to certified documentation.
